Till then, inform yourself and your co-workers: read, sign, share the petitions below with many urgent demands beyond summer pay! Admin gave us fuck-all at the GEO bargaining table. We need to let them know we will hold them accountable, they have a responsibility to UMass workers!

  • 2:45: Meetup in parking lot 44 on Eastman Lane (stay in car)
  • 3:00 Begin:
    • Turn Left onto Eastman Lane (west)
    • First Left onto Thatcher Rd
    • Drive down Thatcher past Life Sciences Laboratory
    • Turn Left onto Chancellors drive BEGIN HONKING
    • Turn Left onto Orchard Hill drive (wraps around parking lot)
    • Turn Left onto East Pleasant street
    • Take E Pleasant to traffic light
    • Turn left on Eastman Lane
  • Begin circle again
  • Continue to drive loop again as time allows (before 4pm)

  • Stay in car at all times
  • Obey all traffic laws and signs, drive slow, tight line of cars
  • If you can do it safely, take LOTS OF PICS/VIDEO
  • Slow down even more on Chancellor’s Drive. Honk on Chancellor’s Dr. but not elsewhere
  • NO CARPOOLING unless it’s people you already live with/share germs with
  • Use whatever you have in your household to make at least one sign! Bigger = better. Use computer paper, cardboard, inside of a cereal box). Write in big letters, and tape your sign in back driver’s side window (facing Chancellor’s house)

The coalition is a group of grad student workers at UMass Amherst that has been working very hard in the last couple of weeks, and has produced a set of demands we are all fighting for together! GSS has officially signed off on these demands!
