Hi fellow workers,
We hope you are all having a good break. Since our bargaining session on Monday 1/8 was cancelled, we were emailed a summary overview of management’s various economic proposals, but without the formal red-lined proposals yet. We will compile the information and send it in the coming days, as we await the proposals. In this email, we are attaching University counter-proposals in Articles 20 (Job Descriptions), 22 (Workload), 23 (Appointment and Re-appointment), and 48 (Changes in Assignment).
As always, our weekly Bargaining Committee meetings are open to all members and a space to discuss these proposals and our members’ needs. Please attend if you would like to have your voice heard! The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 1/16, 1:30-3:30 over zoom. Find the link bargaining.
Additionally, mark your calendars for our next bargaining session: Monday, January 22nd, 1pm-3pm at LGRC A112. This is the same location as the last bargaining session that was on November 27th, on the ground floor of the Lederle Graduate Research Center building. Please arrive a half hour early (12:30pm) so that we can collectively discuss our expectations for the meeting and strategize about how we’re going to respond to management’s counter-proposals at the table.
